‘Investing in your health and wellness’
NuEdge Wellness is a result of collaboration between two highly motivated health and wellness individuals with the aim of combining cutting edge research with well proven therapy and nutrition concepts.
Andy Burke, from the UK and now based in Boston, had extensive experience as an international racket sports athlete and coach before moving into the therapy world. He initially started with massage therapy in 2000 before obtaining his degree in Osteopathy (Oxford Brookes Uni). His passion for learning continued with Post Graduate Diplomas in Health & Exercise Movement (Uni of Nottingham) and Sport & Coaching (Uni of Wales). He has been involved in world-class sport for the last 20 years, working with various sports, World & Olympic Medallists, culminating in being the Lead Therapist for Rio 2016 Olympics for British Track & Field. He has extensive experience working both in professional sport, with corporate executives and the general public. Knowing DNAFit Product Head, Olympian Andrew Steele, and Science Consultant & Olympian Dr. Craig Pickering through his work in Track & Field, it was a natural extension to utilise DNAFit cutting edge information to help unlock his clients potential, health and wellness
Amie Theriault, an LMT from Massachusetts, has spent the last 20 years bringing health and wellness concepts to her clients at her established practice – Santi Holistic Healing Clinic, in Hingham. She has also developed a line of therapeutic organic essential oil skin care products, room sprays and nasal inhalers.
NuEdge Wellness have partnered with DNAFit, an exciting and innovative UK based company who have won many awards for their work in the field of DNA testing for fitness and diet.
Genetics, as we know, is only one part of the picture, so you can never overstate the application of genetics in the real world. The value comes from understanding your genetic profile in conjunction with your goals, lifestyle and environment – the whole picture. After several years researching this area, DNAFit were chosen as a partner because of the depth of current and on-going research, into the application of DNA testing in fitness and diet. The quality assurance of the labs they use for testing, the number of SNPs they test, is, and their feedback, is in our opinion, of higher standards than many other companies in this field.
DNAFit adhere to a strict scientific standard, underpinned by their industry leading code of practice, so we know the information you’re getting is the best there is. This measured approach is why DNAFit is the most respected provider of fitness and nutrition genetics worldwide, and it’s the reason customers such major health gyms, professional sports teams and even the military put their confidence in DNAFit.
DNAFit require a minimum of three peer reviewed studies to include a SNP. These studies also need to be done in humans. Other companies don’t have the same criteria; if you look at their reference lists you will see a number of studies conducted in mice and rats. This strict criteria allows DNAFit to ensure that the SNPs we select, and hence the advice we give, is of high quality.
Secondly, DNAFit are the first and only sports genetic testing company to show that their information has validity, as per the papers we have published and continue to publish. So, we can be pretty sure that using the DNAFit report will improve the training programmes for people, because it’s been tested. We can’t say the same for other companies.

Maximising your potential with cutting edge science!
Have you tried different diets but struggled?
Are you maximising your nutri-genics?
Have you reach a plateau with your training?
Have you wondered if you’re maximising your time in the gym?
We hope we can help you learn how you utilise this new science, and together with individual feedback from approved DNAFit Trainers, get a clearer understanding of your bodies potential for exercise and nutri-gentics.
Many of us go through a lifetime trying different diets and whichever ‘en-vogue’ eating style is present at the time in the press or on the internet– should I try a low fat diet, paleo, low carb, food combining and so forth. The same goes for training – should I be lifting weights, should I do more endurance, should I do circuits and how much of each type of exercise is best for me? Why do I get injured, how can I help prevent injury – this applies to everyone from high level corporate execs, to professional athletes in all sports, to members of the public interested in pursing a life of health and wellness.
Each person who takes the DNAFit test gets access to their own online portal giving them their results and DNA interpretation for fitness and diet genes. As DNAFit continues to undertake research into genes and their interaction with fitness and diet over the coming years, your online profile will continue to be updated for the lifetime of your DNAFit test….so you wont miss out on new developments and how these might relate to you!
